Radiotherapy Quality Policy
The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, is committed to achieving a high quality radiotherapy clinical service, taking a quality management approach to all of its functions and processes.
The Centre will provide a safe, effective and patient focused service by:
• Delivering effective radiotherapy planning and treatment services for patients based on a sound evidence base and adopting best practice wherever practicable
• Ensuring the continual improvement of clinical services
• Providing compassionate and courteous individual patient care
• Maintaining and developing a highly qualified and skilled workforce across all disciplines involved in the delivery of its clinical services
• Embedding its process and procedures within the Quality Management System, setting annual objectives and targets, and monitoring its service delivery as part of its management review The Centre will:
• Comply with all statutory and patient requirements as set out in the Quality Manual
• Deliver the governance requirements of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde
• Meet relevant service specification and standards including those determined by NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and/or Scottish Government
