Dr Dawn Storey

Dr Dawn Storey graduated from Nottingham University in 1995 and completed her Oncology training in Edinburgh.

Her research into cancer-related fatigue was awarded an MD from the University of Edinburgh in 2008. Her first Consultant post in 2009 was as a Clinician Scientist and Honorary Consultant Medical Oncologist at Edinburgh Cancer Centre where she worked closely with Palliative Care colleagues researching chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy.

In 2012 she took up her current post at the Beatson from where she leads the Colorectal Medical Oncology services for Forth Valley and also Clyde hospitals. Dr Storey has also been an active member of three National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Clinical Studies Groups (Colorectal Cancer, Supportive & Palliative Care and the Complementary Therapies Clinical Studies Development Group). She continues to have a strong interest in optimizing management of chemotherapy related side effects to enable a better quality of life for patients both during and after cancer treatment.
